President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he held several important negotiations on the sidelines of the European Political Community summit that took place on October 5. The head of state announced this during a video speech.
“We will have more air defense – there are clear agreements. This is very important before winter. Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Great Britain - thank you", Zelensky said.
The president also noted that Ukrainian soldiers will have more artillery, more long-range weapons and "definitely more justice."
“Today our main message to the world is: evil has no right to win. And only now, only in Ukraine, will it be possible to maintain this principled moral position. But all together," the head of state emphasized.
Zelensky expressed gratitude to each leader of partner countries for the meetings.
“Thank you for the clear support of the European Union and the European Parliament. Thank you, Spain, for giving us all the opportunity to strengthen European unity today. Unity is the answer," the president noted.
White House spokeswoman Karin Jean-Pierre said the United States "has one more" military aid package for Ukraine under an ongoing program that includes weapons and equipment to fight Russian aggression.
“So we will continue to do that, we will continue to meet Ukraine's needs on the battlefield, using the existing authorities, using the resources that Congress provides, which is what we talked about this week on the podium and what the president talked about,” Jean-Pierre emphasized.
On September 6, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced another aid package for Ukraine worth $1 billion.
