Zelensky: There are many problems in the army due to the poor quality of the work of the VLK, there will be solutions

President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have "many problems" due to the poor quality of the work of the Military Medical Commissions (MMC). According to him, the relevant decisions are already being prepared by the authorities.

The head of state said this during his speech on August 14.

“An important topic is how commanders can manage personnel. Motivation of soldiers, training of fighters, staffing of units. There are many problems associated with the poor quality of WLK's work. Military leaders should deal with war, not bureaucracy. We will prepare solutions,” emphasized Zelensky and added that when the soldiers of the Armed Forces return from the front line, they deserve to see and feel that these are the cities behind the lines.

“That people live there, remembering that there are soldiers there, that our soldiers are here, in the Donetsk region, in other directions, fighting for Ukraine, giving their lives for Ukraine. Freedom and independence will not be won by anyone there. "There, at the front. This is a common national cause of all those who fight and work for victory. Everyone is at war. Ukraine is at war. And those who do not fight at the front should help in the fight. Not in bars not in clubs, not through street races or some conspicuous consumption, but quite concrete help to the soldiers. That's the least of it. All the country's adrenaline, all the country's emotions, all the country's forces should be there - in battles for the good of the state," he said.

The president also announced that he had paid a visit to the Donetsk region today.

“This morning, in the Donetsk region, where our combat brigades are stationed. 3rd and 5th separate assault division "Wisimdesiatka" DSZW, 57th separate motorized infantry, 22nd and 24th separate mechanized, 26th separate artillery brigade of the 92nd mechanized division. I had the honor to award the best, thank everyone - every brigade for bravery, courage, results for the good of Ukraine “Together with General Bogomolov, commander of the Soledar OTU, we talked to the commanders of brigades and battalions – those who fight – about their needs at the front”, said Volodymyr Zelensky.

He emphasized that "it is important to talk directly with the soldiers".

“There is always a general picture, there are reports for every direction, for every brigade. But it's important to talk directly to the soldiers, directly about the war experiences of those in office. These were detailed, honest conversations today. Our offensive activities, about the supply of troops, about the capabilities of commanders, what these capabilities are now and what they should be,” the president said.

According to him, among the "urgent matters" is transport for the evacuation of the wounded and its timing.

“The urgent issue is the transport to the evacuation of the wounded and the timing of the evacuation. Drones are what the enemy uses: Lancets, Orlans. And our soldiers need: from Mavics to every other drone system. It is clear that Ukrainian drone production - Stork, Rage, etc. - as well as supply from partners, all forms of imports - must increase, and this is one of the most important tasks. It is very important that all officials in the defense system perceive this task exactly as they say about it on the front line,” Zelensky stressed.
