Volodymyr Zelensky sent his wishes in Polish via Twitter. “On the occasion of the Polish Army Day, I wish Poland and its Armed Forces my best wishes”, he wrote.

During the holiday, President Andrzej Duda spoke, among others, to the war in Ukraine.

- Behind our eastern border, a full-scale war has been going on for a year and a half. Brutal Russian aggression against independent Ukraine brought death, pain, and suffering. This is a war in which, unfortunately, there is still no end in sight.

- Among other things, thanks to our help, Ukraine stopped the Russians and can continue to fight. If someone doesn't understand this, if they criticize our commitment and support, they don't understand anything. He does not understand the issue of Poland's security. Independent Ukraine and independent Belarus are important for Poland's security, he said.
