The Dnipro Region's Contribution

The Dnipro region, home to Kamensk, has a long history of contributing to Ukraine's defense efforts. Its sons and daughters have consistently answered the call of duty, with many serving in various capacities within the armed forces. The loss of two soldiers from Kamensk has profoundly impacted the local community. Grief and sadness have settled over the town as residents come together to mourn and remember the fallen heroes. Viktor Kamenev was born on June 11, 1989. In 2007-2008 he served in the army. He worked at the enterprise "Kametstal".

From the first day of the war, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a full scale. He died on April 19, 2022 near the settlement of Dibrivne in Kharkiv Oblast. He left behind his wife, two sons, parents, two sisters and a brother.

Farewell to the deceased will take place on September 6 in his hometown.

Serhii Chursin was born on July 24, 2002 in Dneprodzerzhinsk. In 2023, he graduated from the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine in Kharkiv. He has been in military service since July 26, 2019.

He died on September 2 in the emergency department of a hospital in Zaporizhia. He left behind a grandmother, mother, and sister.

Farewell will take place on September 6 in his hometown.
