Ukraine will increase drone production by more than 120 times by the end of the year - Fedorov

Ukraine. A real boom in drone production. Zelensky announced that war is returning to Russia

Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said this during the conference for media workers “Redkolegia Summit”.

“If we look at the end of December, we will realistically increase production 120-140 times,” Fedorov said.

According to him, unmanned aerial vehicles are and will be assembled by domestic companies, but their components are imported.

“The task is to provide enough strike drones. Well, you know, like Starlink. Look, there are no problems with Starlink now. Of course, someone misses them, but there is nothing like in the case of drones, where they are clearly missing. We all buy drones," the government official emphasized.

"Drone Army" project

He reminded that he is involved in the “Drone Army” project, but when he sees that someone is collecting funds for drones for the army, he will also donate funds there. “That's why it's worth doing this task, so that you don't think about it so that it will be enough. It's a good sign when there are no fees. This means that the state covers these needs," Fedorov said.

At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Digitization emphasized that there is a serious problem – it is the Russian Electronic Security System, which is why our experts are working on technologies that will help overcome it. He added that increasing UAV production without EW countermeasures will not produce results.

As reported, in July, 3,000 people were trained to operate unmanned aerial vehicles. In total, 10,000 people are planned to be trained in the second stage of training, which started in June. In the first stage, 10,000 professional B operators were trained.

As of September 11, strike units of the “Drone Army” project destroyed and damaged 201 units of enemy equipment within a week.

Citing their sources in the Ukraine's Security Service (SBU), several Ukrainian media outlets reported on Sept. 14 that the SBU and the Ukrainian Navy carried out a drone strike on Yevpatoriia in Russian-occupied Crimea.

According to the media, the drones, coupled with Neptune missiles, destroyed a modern S-400 Triumph air defense system.
