The Russians declared a state of emergency in Taganrog

Russian mass media and propaganda telegrams reported broken glass in houses near the blast site. Soon after, the governor of the Rostov region, Vasyl Golubev, said that the rocket "probably exploded" on Lermontovsky Avenue, near the Chekhov Garden cafe.

According to the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, 14 people were injured, seven of them were hospitalized. Another seven victims were treated on an outpatient basis.

The Meduza newspaper writes that the Russian Ministry of Defense announced a missile attack on the residential infrastructure in Taganrog. According to the agency's version, the blow was delivered by an anti-aircraft missile of the S-200 anti-aircraft complex "converted into a strike version". They said that the Russian air defense system detected and intercepted a Ukrainian missile, and fragments of it fell on the city. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation also accused Ukraine of carrying out a terrorist attack.
