Fedorov explained that during Russian offensive operations around Avdiivka in the Donetsk Oblast in eastern Ukraine, the enemy lost, among others, 101 cannons, 88 armored vehicles and 75 tanks.

The Drone Army project was launched in July last year. The project was initiated by United24, a platform used to raise funds for Ukraine for its war with Russia. This program includes the systematic purchase of drones, their repair, replacement and pilot training.

In June, Fedorov announced that 10,000 people had already been trained under the Drone Army project in Ukraine. unmanned aerial vehicle operators. Another 10,000 were then sent to appropriate courses.

Ukrainian Fury in the sky. He is a "real nightmare for Russians"

The Ukrainian armed forces use a wide range of unmanned aerial vehicles to help them repel Russian attacks. One of them is the Furia unmanned aerial system, which, according to the Ukrainian military website Defense Express, "has become a real nightmare for Russian invaders." The drone is used, among others, to conduct reconnaissance and direct artillery fire.

The A1-CM Furia unmanned aerial system is a solution developed by the Ukrainian company Athlon Avia and produced since 2014. In 2020, the required state tests of the device were completed and it was adopted by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Since then, Furia drones have been helping the army, but also the National Guard of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine. Currently, they serve, among others, to conduct reconnaissance, as well as correct and direct artillery fire.

Furia helps Ukrainians track down Russians

The A1-CM Furia system includes, among others: three drones enter. The devices were made in a flying wing configuration from composite materials such as glass fibers, carbon fibers and Kevlar. In the basic configuration, drones have day/night modules and thermal cameras. Their take-off weight is 5.5 kg, the operating radius is estimated at 50 km, and the maximum flight time is 3 hours.

Depending on the type of mission performed, one or two people are needed to operate the Furia drone. It takes about 15 minutes to prepare it for full operation (disassembly and assembly). The ground station, which is the heart of the entire system, plays an important role in operating the devices.

Thanks to Furia drones, its members can almost immediately transmit data about the positions of enemy equipment to artillery units. These, in turn, have the coordinates of e.g. Russian tanks, anti-aircraft defense systems or howitzers, and are able to react very quickly and eliminate the threat before the Russians decide to change their position.
