Over the past 24 hours, two people were killed and 25 injured in the Kherson region as a result of Russian shelling, the regional authorities informed. At least one person was killed in the Donetsk.

Over the past 24 hours, two people were killed and 25 injured in the Kherson region as a result of Russian shelling, the regional authorities informed. At least one person was killed in the Donetsk region. 

Two people were killed and 25 were injured over the past 24 hours, Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson region government, said on Saturday. He added that Kherson and towns in the region were shelled from mortars, artillery, Grad launchers and drones. There were several damages to civilian infrastructure, and residential districts were attacked.

In the Donetsk region, the number of civilian victims of Russian aggression has increased by one person over the past 24 hours, said Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the military administration of this region of Ukraine. Information about the shelling was also provided by the authorities of a number of other regions of Ukraine, including Kharkiv, Luhansk, Sumy, Chernihiv, Dnipro, Zaporozhye and Mykolaiv oblasts.

28 villages are still flooded

As a result of blowing up the dam of the Kakhovska Hydroelectric Power Plant in the Kherson region, 28 villages are still flooded, including 17 in the occupied territories, the region's authorities announced on Saturday.

35 buildings are flooded in the Mykolaiv region.

“11 towns (1,509 buildings) on the right (west) bank of the Dnieper and 17 towns in the temporarily occupied territories are flooded,” the State Service for Emergency Situations reported.

At the Kherson measuring point, the water level in the Dnieper is 1.09 m and is gradually decreasing. 2 782 people were evacuated from the oblast, 716 people were rescued, including 30 children and 40 people with limited mobility.

There are 14 evacuation points in the region.

The services are pumping water out of flooded buildings, and providing residents with drinking water, food, and necessities. In the Mykolaiv region, which was also affected by the destruction of the dam on the Dnieper, 35 buildings are flooded, and the evacuation of residents and emergency services continue there.
