Ukraine is facing a severe escalation in Russian shelling, prompting Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba to urgently appeal for support from allies.
Destruction after the attack on Kyiv
Ukraine finds itself in the throes of an escalating conflict as Russia intensifies its shelling, prompting a compelling appeal from Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba to allies. Kuleba outlined a five-point plan, urging allies to provide essential weaponry, including combat drones and long-range missiles, while also calling for decisive measures against Russian diplomats.
In response to the recent onslaught, Minister Kuleba expressed the urgent need for condemnation and decisive actions from the international community.
"Putin is intensifying his terror against Ukraine. Today marks the second massive missile attack in just four days. Civilian infrastructure has been damaged, and innocent lives, including children, have been lost", he shared on social media.
Kuleba's proposed plan emphasizes the following actions from the West:
"The terrorist regime in Moscow must understand that the international community will not turn a blind eye to the killing of civilians and the destruction of vital infrastructure in Ukraine"
stressed the Ukrainian Foreign Minister.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhny, disclosed that on Tuesday alone, Russians launched 99 missiles. Ukrainian air defenses successfully intercepted 72 of them, including 10 Kindzhal hypersonic missiles, 3 Kalibr cruise missiles, and 59 Kh-101, Kh-555, Kh-55 cruise missiles targeting Ukraine.
As the conflict intensifies, the international community faces a critical juncture in responding to Ukraine's plea for assistance. The situation calls for unified condemnation and swift, tangible support to safeguard the lives and well-being of Ukrainian civilians caught in the crossfire. The world watches closely as geopolitical tensions escalate, underscoring the need for a resolute and coordinated international response to quell the growing threat to peace and stability in the region.
