The missile attack on Ukraine cost Russia over a billion dollars!

Friday's missile attack on Ukraine marked the largest air assault since the onset of Russia's invasion of our neighboring country. The aggressor launched as many as 158 rockets, missiles, and drones, with 114 of them being successfully intercepted, while the remainder hit their intended targets. The number of casualties continues to rise, and Ukraine is assessing the extent of its losses. Russia reportedly expended $1.283 billion on this devastating attack.

The Russian Federation's forces unleashed a total of 158 rockets, missiles, and drones on Friday morning, targeting critical infrastructure, industrial and military facilities, as well as civilian areas. The most significant losses, including fatalities, occurred in several Ukrainian cities, notably Kyiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhia, and Lviv.

Ukrainians are counting both human and material losses, as their Armed Forces grapple with an unprecedented level of attack. The sheer volume of incoming objects made it challenging to prioritize targets for elimination. Ukrainian forces successfully intercepted 114 projectiles over their country.

This assault stands as the largest single airstrike against Ukraine since the initiation of the Russian invasion on February 24, 2022. Moscow invested a substantial amount, estimated by the "UA War Infographics" channel, utilizing data from the Ukrainian army, at nearly $1.3 billion.

Official reports indicate that this amount covers the cost of 122 Russian-made rockets and missiles, along with 36 Iranian-made Shahed 136 and Shahed 131 drones. The Russians meticulously planned and executed this attack, employing a significant arsenal gathered over weeks to inflict severe losses on Ukraine by year-end.

"Russia attacked Ukraine with almost everything it had at its disposal: Kinzhal hypersonic missiles and cruise missiles, S-300 missile launchers, Shahed drones."
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated.

General Valery Zaluzhny presented a detailed report on the attack.

The Ukrainian army diligently tracked the origin and type of projectiles launched by the enemy. The assault involved a formidable array of weaponry, including Tu-95MS and Tu-22M3 strategic bombers, MiG-31K and Su-35 fighters, S-300, S-400, and Iskander-M ballistic missile launchers, as well as Shahed 136 and Shahed 131 kamikaze drones. Consequently, substantial military forces and resources were deployed to carry out this devastating blow against Ukraine.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kyiv reported at least 12 fatalities and 76 injuries. Furthermore, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine disclosed that electricity supplies were disrupted in the Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa, and Kharkiv oblasts as a result of the Russian attacks.
