The Wagnerians want a trip to Warsaw. There is the US answer

The US is considering designating the Wagner Group as a terrorist organization

“If necessary, we will defend every inch of NATO territory,” said Matthew Miller, a spokesman for the U.S. State Department. This is the first comment from the US referring to the words of Alyaksandr Lukashenko about the plans of the Wagner Group towards Poland.

The official admitted during a press briefing that he was unable to assess the credibility of the words spoken during the meeting between Putin and Lukashenko in St. Petersburg.

The dictator from Belarus argued that the mercenaries of Yevgeny Prigozhin's private army demanded that they “go on a trip to Warsaw and Rzeszow”. It was a suggestion of an armed Wagnerian attack on Poland.

According to Matthew Miller, the North Atlantic Alliance is ready to respond to any threats in its member states.

— This is another in a series of irresponsible comments by Lukashenko. I can only reiterate … that the United States will defend every inch of NATO territory he said.

— Our alliance with Poland is strong – he stressed.

Earlier, Antony Blinken presented a similar opinion regarding the defense of the Alliance countries. The US Secretary of State criticized the Russian army for the attacks on grain warehouses located on the border with Romania, and clearly declared support for the countries of NATO's eastern flank in the event of a threat.

“A threat to Poland”

According to Bartłomiej Małczyk, a graduate of the Theresianische Militärakademie, the growing number of Wagner Group forces in Belarus is a serious threat to the security of our country.

The analyst of the war in Ukraine notes that although the battlegroups do not constitute a significant military-military force, they are problematic due to their undefined status.

— These are not soldiers, this is the biggest problem. The mercenary is a civilian and therefore not bound by the laws of war and military responsibility. This is a big challenge for our country, because it is a great element for trying to destabilize our border – emphasized.

— For the use of whom do we have to account? The company, the country they came from? It is very difficult to define, he added.
