Training of Belarusian soldiers by Wagner Group instructors
According to information from the Ukrainian Center for National Resistance, the Wagner Group is looking for recruits in Belarus. According to eyewitness accounts, the new mercenaries are to express their readiness to act in countries bordering Belarus. This is especially true of Poland and Lithuania.
The National Resistance Center is a special information unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, whose task is to support the resistance of the civilian population against the Russian occupier.
The center on Wednesday reported reports of recruits willing to join the ranks of the Wagner Group. They show that the organization is actively looking for new members in Belarus.
One of the conditions of the agreement for Belarusian mercenaries is to be “readiness to participate in hostilities on the territory of countries bordering Belarus, in particular Poland and Lithuania.” Ukrainian media, including the Unian agency and the tsn.ua portal, quote information about the relations between Belarusians.
According to information from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, there are currently less than 10,000 Wagner Group fighters on the territory of Belarus. They began to arrive there after the Progozhin rebellion in late June.
It is known that the Wagnerians are training the Belarusian army, which was officially announced by the local Ministry of Defence. The resort also regularly publishes photos and recordings of joint maneuvers. It is also known that some of the Wagner soldiers were sent to train Belarusian special forces stationed on the border with Poland.
In the first days of July, the Polish Ministry of National Defense announced activities aimed at strengthening the eastern border of the country.
The General Command of the Armed Forces Branches reported that a thousand soldiers and nearly 200 units of equipment from the 12th Mechanized Brigade and the 17th Wielkopolska Mechanized Brigade were sent east.
