This time, the rescuers who helped the victims in the skyscraper also came under fire. One employee of the State Rescue Service died and five others were injured. Our hearts are with their loved ones," wrote Olena Zelenska.

"Our heroes were the first to arrive at the place of shelling to help people. Search and rescue operation is underway. We are clearing rubble, saving people from Russian terror", wrote Ihor Klymenko, head of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry, on Telegram.

Klymenko said that since 21:50 Ukrainian time, the number of injured has increased to 31, including 19 policemen, 5 rescuers of the State Rescue Service and one child.

In turn, the Ukrainian air force hit nine Russian bases where soldiers were staying and weapons and other military equipment were stored, and missile and artillery units - two checkpoints, a base, five cannons and a radar station.
