Justin Trudeau has made an unannounced visit to Kyiv, Radio-Canada reported. This is the second visit of the Prime Minister of Canada to Ukraine since the outbreak of war. He is to meet with Volodymyr Zelensky.

During the visit, Trudeau is accompanied by Canadian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Chrystia Freeland, who has Ukrainian roots. According to Radio-Canada's findings, the Canadian prime minister is to meet with Volodymyr Zelensky and representatives of the Ukrainian parliament, and to announce a new support package for Ukraine.

Trudeau comments on the blowing up of the dam in Nova Kakhovka

The destruction of the Nova Kakhovka dam is “another example of the nightmarish consequences of Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine” Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Tuesday.

During a meeting with journalists in Ottawa, the Prime Minister added that the demolition of the dam would result in “devastating the lives of the inhabitants of the region and eliminating their livelihoods.”
