The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine responds to the Prime Minister of Slovakia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine strongly refutes the theses formulated by the Prime Minister of Slovakia, suggesting the idea of ceding part of its territory to Russia.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs responds to the Prime Minister of Slovakia, who proposes a “territorial compromise” with Russia.

"There can be no compromise on territorial integrity, neither in the case of Ukraine, nor Slovakia, nor any other country"
emphasized ministry spokesman Oleh Nikolenko.

He added that Ukraine and its partners are making efforts to push Russians out of occupied Crimea, Donbas, and Luhansk to prevent further expansion, including towards Kosice, Prešov, and Slovakia.

“Let's be honest: the lack of security in Ukraine means a lack of security in Slovakia and throughout Europe. We must cooperate to bring Ukraine's victory closer”, said the spokesman of the Ukrainian ministry.

Slovakia. Bitter words have been spoken about Ukraine

Earlier, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico stated that Ukraine would have to give up part of its territory to Russia. "What do they expect? That the Russians will leave Crimea, Donbas, and Luhansk? It's unrealistic", said Prime Minister Fico in a radio interview. He called for the stabilization of relations between the European Union and Russia, adding that Moscow "also needs security guarantees".

The Slovak Prime Minister, consistently aligning with Hungarian leader Viktor Orban in his approach to Russia's aggression against Ukraine, stated that Kyiv is dominated by Washington and that Ukraine is not a fully sovereign state. “At least since 2014, since Maidan, it has been under total influence and control of the USA”, he argued.

According to the Slovak politician, resolving the conflict on the battlefield is not possible, and Ukraine will have to cede part of its territory to Russia, which he called a “compromise”.
