Ukraine sets condition for peace: Russia must renounce nuclear weapons

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense listed one of the conditions for ending the war. Deputy head of the Ministry of Defense, Ivan Gavryluk, said that the war between Ukraine and the Russian Federation could be ended through negotiations if the terrorist state gives up some types of weapons.

The peace agreement should include a clause on Russia giving up nuclear weapons

In an interview with Tagesspiegel, Deputy Defense Minister Ivan Hawryliuk noted that the war should end only if Russia renounces nuclear weapons through negotiations.

“All wars in the world end in negotiations, so the war between Ukraine and Russia should be no exception” he explained.

Gavrylyuk added that “by signing any document, Russia must give up nuclear weapons”.

“The war will end with the return of all Ukrainian territories, but it is necessary to create a mechanism that will prevent the enemy from attacking again” said the deputy defense minister.

“The agreements will be signed - on the one hand by a coalition of countries supporting Ukraine, and on the other by Russia. And this document should include a clause on Russia's renunciation of nuclear weapons because this country poses a threat to peace"
explained the deputy minister of defense.

Let us recall that the 696th day of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine is underway. During the past 24 hours, there were 103 combat clashes. Most of the enemy's attacks were repelled in the directions of Kupyansk, Lymansk, Avdiivsk, and Marinsk.

By the way, former US President Donald Trump, after winning the Republican primaries in Iowa, promised to resolve the situation related to the war in Ukraine “very quickly”. He expressed confidence that he would be able to include the presidents of Ukraine and Russia, whom he “knows well”, in the dialogue.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky turned to Donald Trump and once again invited him to Ukraine.

A year ago, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky decided that negotiations with the Kremlin tyrant Vladimir Putin are impossible until his army completely leaves the territory of our country, changes in the political elites in the Russian Federation are not recognized, war crimes of Russians are not acknowledged, and Moscow does not prosecute the organizers of the invasion. Now the list of these requirements has been supplemented.
