Ukraine's Azov brigade rebuilds ahead of expected counter-offensive

The special training of the detachment was announced on the official Telegram channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

Some of the soldiers of the "Azov" unit, including five commanders, returned from Turkey to Ukraine on July 8, after the visit of President Volodymyr Zelensky. They have been there since September last year, when they were handed over to Turkey as part of negotiations with Russia. Earlier, they were taken prisoner after the end of the defense of the Azovstal plant in Mariupol.

Almost immediately after returning, the commanders announced that they planned to return to the front. Denys Prokopenko met with the staff and units of "Azov". At the same time, it was announced that in the near future combat training and additional equipment for the troops with personnel, equipment and armament will be carried out.
