The invaders shelled Nikopol and the Marganets community: the police document the crimes of the Russian Federation

The situation in the Dnipro region remains tense as the enemy continues its relentless attacks. On August 24, Nikopol, a town of strategic importance in the region, faced repeated aggression from the opposing forces. The situation escalated further as the nearby settlement of the Marganets commune came under fire, first from barrel artillery during the night and then from rocket salvo fire systems in the morning of August 25.

On August 24, the enemy repeatedly targeted Nikopol, and also attacked the settlement of the Marganets commune with barrel artillery – at night and in the morning of August 25, they used rocket salvo fire systems.

This was reported by the press service of the National Police in the Dnipro region.

Escalating Attacks on Nikopol and Marganets Commune: Ukrainian Authorities Respond Vigilantly

In response to this grave violation of international law and humanity, Ukrainian authorities have taken decisive action. In connection with yet another crime committed by the army of the Russian Federation, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 438, specifically for the violation of laws and customs of war, according to the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This move underscores the commitment of Ukrainian authorities to seeking justice and holding those responsible for these heinous acts accountable.

Farm buildings and a private house were significantly damaged. In buildings, roofs, and walls were pierced by bullets, and windows were broken. The power line has been cut off.

In connection with another crime committed by the army of the Russian Federation, a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 438 (violation of laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
