The SSU identifies Russians involved in missile strike on Dnipro

"The attack on Dnipro city will haunt all those who survived it forever. But the terror of the Kremlin will not break the spirit of Ukrainians. We will continue to support Ukraine, with funds, with generators, with weapons," its president Roberta Metsola said on Monday at the European Parliament session in Strasbourg.

The last massive missile attack on Ukraine was carried out by Russia on Saturday. According to the army, the air defense forces neutralized the vast majority of enemy shells. The largest cities were shelled, including Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa and Dnipro.

In the Dnipro, a Russian Kh-22 anti-ship missile hit a multi-story apartment block, destroying one of the building's verticals. At least 40 people were killed and 75 injured. The death toll could rise as 30 civilians are currently believed to be missing.

The likely target of the Russian attack on the Dnipro, resulting in the shelling of an apartment block and the deaths of at least 40 civilians, was the nearby Trans-Dnipro Thermal Power Plant.

The devastating scale of the explosion

During the night, the city authorities reported that some people trapped under the rubble managed to send messages from their phones. Rescuers stopped their work from time to time, and people shouted to know where they were. A 23-year-old woman was pulled from the rubble in the night. "Last September, she lost her fiancé in the war. Now she has lost her home," Hromadske TV reported.

Zelensky said that in the time since the attack, Ukraine has heard words of sympathy and support from many leaders, public figures, journalists and ordinary people from around the world. The President thanked them for these votes and stressed the importance of good people not remaining indifferent to terror.
