The Armed Forces will again start paying 100 000 hryvna, but not for all. What is known about the new amount of payments for the army and what are the requirements?

“Everyone who is involved in the defense of Ukraine will receive subsidies during the war. Today, an extraordinary government meeting passed a resolution regulating the issue of fair monthly payments for military personnel, law enforcement officers and rescuers, the Prime Minister wrote in Telegram.

How will the payments for the defenders of Ukraine change?

According to Denys Szmyhal, during martial law, the amount of subsidies will be UAH 30 000 per month.

"For people who conduct operational management of military units and remote units, the subsidies may amount to UAH 50,000. And for those who directly participate in hostilities - UAH 100 000" - the prime minister stressed.

For conscripts and cadets, monthly subsidies are established in the amount of UAH 6 000, and UAH 2 350 for cadets.

A surcharge of 30 000 hryvnias: chronology of events

Recall that in March 2022, the government adopted a resolution that provided for additional remuneration for the army. According to her, an additional UAH 30 000 were received monthly by the Armed Forces, the Security Service, the Intelligence Service, the Ministry of National Defense intelligence, the National Guard and the State Border Service.

Recall that on February 1, 2023, Ukraine abolished the payment of additional monetary compensation for certain categories of military personnel.

Later, the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada introduced another bill, which provided for the establishment of a monthly payment of additional remuneration for military personnel from UAH 30 000 to 100 000, depending on the duration of combat missions.

This bill in the parliament was approved on second reading in June. In the same month, the relevant law was signed by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
