The Ukrainian Army has received a thousand of new drones.

As part of the “Drone Army” program, over two thousand drones were transferred to the Logistics Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. These include airborne helicopters and UAVs: reconnaissance, kamikaze and reusable bombers.
This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science, and Technology - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will distribute and transfer drones to the military in the hottest areas of the front. The batch includes "birds" exclusively of Ukrainian production. Drones will help hit enemy positions and equipment. All unmanned aerial vehicles were purchased under the state program

we read in Fedorov's post.

The minister emphasized that under the “Drone Army” program, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to systematically receive drones because they cause "colossal losses for the enemy."

Last week, drones hit 39 tanks, 57 guns, 34 armored vehicles and 307 strongpoints. That's minus millions of dollars from the Russians

Fedorov wrote.

According to the head of the Ministry of Statistics, Mykhailo Fedorov, compared to last year, as of June 2023, the production of drones in Ukraine in some categories has increased dozens and sometimes hundreds of times. In total, there are over 100 companies producing drones on the market.

At the beginning of July 2022, the Ministry of Digitization, together with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the UNITED24 platform, announced a fundraiser for the “Drone Army”. In the first stage, they planned to purchase 200 drones.

In the first weeks of the program, Ukrainians and foreigners donated over UAH 510 million for drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine via the UNITED24 platform.

Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov showed what 472 UAVs from the "Drone Army" launched at the same time look like.

Also in September 2022, the Armed Forces received the first 20 Warmate attack drones, for which the Ukrainians raised funds through a monobank.
