Success of the Ukrainians at Bakhmut. Russian logistics in serious trouble

One of the important logistic arteries of the Russian army in the direction of Bakhmut is under the fire control of the Ukrainian army, said Ilya Yevlash. A spokesman for the Eastern Group of Armed Forces confirmed the success of the units located near the Bachmut road.

In an interview with Ukrainian media, Yevlash confirmed previous unofficial reports regarding the movement of Ukrainian troops. The troops located there moved significantly closer to the towns of Odradivka and Optyne.

- The entry near Klishchivka and Andriyivka allows us to approach one of the logistic arteries supplying enemy groups in this direction, this is the Bakhmut-Garlovka route, which is already under our fire control. Mortars and anti-tank missiles already have range. Supplying the enemy in this direction has become much more difficult, he said.

Serious losses for the Russians near Bakhmut

According to Ilya Yevlash, the Eastern Group of Forces is conducting intense fighting and continuing offensive operations on Bakhmut's flanks. Progress has been made near several strategically important towns in recent days.

The strikes, according to the spokesman, are carried out in places where Russian defense is weakest. Thanks to this, the Russians, despite their dominance in the air, suffer 7-8 times greater losses.

- The greatest concentration of enemy forces is currently in the direction of Lymansko-Kupia. The enemy maintains over 110,000 personnel there, a large number of armored vehicles, artillery, and multiple launch missile systems. It is worth noting, however, that we have not recorded any combat clashes in this direction for about a week. This does not mean, however, that hostilities there have completely disappeared, the enemy is still shelling the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In recent days, 552 artillery attacks were carried out in this direction and air force was used 17 times. Intense, heavy fighting is taking place there now, our defenders are holding the front, he said.

- We will defend ourselves in the direction of Lymansko-Kupia, trying to effectively stop the enemy's attack. We will succeed in Bachmut and we will continue to displace him from his positions, he added.
