Analysts have no doubt that the Russian authorities are preparing for a full-scale war with NATO. This is indicated by a great stir in secret Russian bases, among others in the Arctic, where the most important submarines are stationed.

Military experts from the Naval News service noted that feverish preparations for the new reality of war are underway at Russian bases in the Arctic. And it's not just about the Kremlin's growing problems in Ukraine, but also about the real specter of a global war with NATO countries. That is why the army is making preparations on an unprecedented scale.

The biggest changes were observed at the entrance to the Olenya Guba base, which is located in the Murmansk region on the Kola Peninsula. The Russians keep strategic submarines there. Among them there are also those capable of transporting nuclear weapons. As the Ukrainians have already had sea drone attacks on the ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet on their account, the Kremlin prefers to be safe and secure its bases in the best way for itself.

The Russian Northern Fleet is preparing for war with NATO

Naval News journalists analyzed satellite images, including radar (SAR) images. It turns out that Russian solutions are copied directly to the Northern Fleet from the Black Sea Fleet. In recent months, they have been secured with special floating barriers up to 560 meters long. They are designed to stop all kinds of sea drones from approaching spy submarines. The Kremlin is also modernizing its bases with NATO counterattacks in mind.

Analysts explain that for some time the Kremlin has stopped caring about the opinion of other countries regarding its criminal activities in Ukraine or espionage in the European Union. In the near future, we can expect a huge wave of sabotage, which may be related to the destruction of underwater communication cables, gas pipelines or massive cyberattacks on critical infrastructures of NATO countries.

Nuclear ships are stationed in the Olenya Guba base

The Olenya Guba base is the seat of the Russian Main Directorate for Deep Sea Research. Strategic nuclear-powered submarines capable of carrying global ballistic missiles are stationed there. Some time ago, the Kremlin threatened the UK and the US that they had ships with tsunami-causing weapons in their fleet, capable of destroying the largest coastal cities in the world.
