Today, February 1, the occupiers began shelling Nikopol with barrel artillery early in the morning. Coastal settlements also came under enemy fire, with the invaders using six kamikaze anti-aircraft guns. This announcement was made by Yevhen Yevtushenko, the head of the military administration of the Nikopol district.

In addition to the district center, the settlements of the rural communes of Marganetsk, Myrivsk, and Pokrovsk were also targeted by enemy fire. Information about casualties is currently being clarified. In total, nine private houses, two farm buildings, garages, a farm, cars, and power lines were damaged as a result of the shelling.

According to Yevtushenko, four of the six drones were neutralized by the Ukrainian Defense Forces. In the remaining communes of the district, the day passed without shelling or emergency situations.

Yevhen Yevtushenko urged residents of seaside settlements to spend the night in shelters or adhere to the two-wall rule. He also wished the inhabitants of Nikopol a peaceful night and expressed hopes for a just punishment for their enemies.

Oleksandr Sayuk reported on the consequences of the daily shelling of Nikopol: 8 private residential buildings, an outbuilding, 2 garages, a gazebo, a minibus, a passenger car, 7 fences, and power lines were damaged.

The city mayor also warned residents about the threat of renewed shelling and appealed to them not to ignore air warning signals.

An enemy missile hit the Novomoskovsky district of the Dnipro region

Mykola Lukashu, the chairman of the Dnipro regional council, stated that today, February 1, an enemy missile struck the Novomoskovsky district. Fortunately, everything is under control. A fire broke out but was extinguished by rescuers. Thankfully, no one was injured.
