President Andrzej Duda met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the airport in Rzeszów. The leader of Ukraine was returning to the country via Poland after visiting Great Britain and France and after giving a speech in the European Parliament. According to the Chancellery of the President, the Ukrainian leader “reported the recent diplomatic activity in Brussels and other European capitals.”

The presidents discussed the need for further support

“Presidents Andrzej Duda and Volodymyr Zelensky discussed the current situation at the front and the security situation in our region, as well as the need for further joint actions to support Ukraine militarily”

The conversation also concerned the planned future diplomatic activities of the President and building the agenda before the upcoming NATO summit in Vilnius. Next week, President Andrzej Duda will meet the NATO Secretary General, so this exchange of opinions and information between the President of Poland and Ukraine in the context of these activities is very important here.

The presidents also discussed the current situation at the front and the security situation in our region, as well as the need for further joint efforts to support Ukraine fighting against Russian aggression. The conversation also concerned the subject of sanctions. President Zelenskiy thanked President Duda for the support that Poland provides to Ukraine, including for taking care of millions of Ukrainian refugees.
