Dnipro Oblast State Administration Head Serhiy Lysak confirmed the devastating news. The shelling primarily targeted Nikopol and the Myrove community. Lysak also reported that the deceased boy's 22-year-old brother was caught in the attack and sustained serious injuries. He is currently hospitalized in Dnipro with a head injury, bruises, and multiple fractures. His condition remains critical, listed as stable but serious within the intensive care unit.

The relentless attacks inflicted severe damage on civilian infrastructure. Two administrative buildings, a municipal enterprise vital to the community, and a crucial boiler room were all significantly impacted. Additionally, a four-story apartment building became a target, along with two private houses, an outbuilding, and a garage. The shelling also disrupted essential services, damaging power equipment, power lines, and a gas pipeline.

The consequences of the last shelling are still being clarified.
