Kramatorsk missile strike kills at least two, say Ukrainian authorities
The governor of the Donetsk region, Pavlo Kyrylenko, told Ukrainian television that two rockets had hit the city. The attack took place in the afternoon. The Russians attacked a crowded by civilians dining establishment. The restaurant was hit by a rocket fired from the S-300 anti-aircraft system.
We are working to ascertain the number of injured and killed. This is the city center – said Pavlo Kyrylenko.
Ukrainian police said at least three people were killed and 42 injured in the attack. Kyrylenko said that among the wounded are one child and three foreigners. The search and rescue operation is still ongoing. Earlier, it was reported that there may still be people under the rubble.

Internet users noticed that Kramatorsk was shelled on the anniversary of the rocket attack on the Kremenchuk shopping center in the Poltava region. 22 people lost their lives and 56 were injured.
The White House condemned the Russians for the missile attack on Kramatorsk. It was communicated that the United States will continue to support Ukraine and provide it with weapons and equipment to defend itself against Russian aggression.
Kramatorsk is a large city located in the Donetsk region, west of the front line. Taking it would allow the Russians to advance westwards in order to seize the entire territory of the Donetsk region.
Russian forces often shell the city. The most tragic rocket attack took place in April 2022, when about 60 people were killed and over 110 injured at the railway station.
