The Ukrainian Air Force, in turn, emphasized that Russia attacked with a record number of drones. Most of the drones flew to Kyiv, the air defense managed to shoot down 71 machines.

Vitali Klitschko announced that a total of five city residents suffered as a result of the attack, including an 11-year-old child. Debris from shot down drones fell, among others, on the kindergarten building and damaged residential houses. Fires broke out in some places.

The capital's authorities also announced that part of the city had been cut off from electricity. Residents also report interruptions in water supplies. The air raid alarm in Kyiv lasted for over six hours.
