The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that 12 drones were spotted over the territories of Voronezh and Belgorod regions that night. Only some of them were shot down, prompting the declaration of a state of emergency in Voronezh.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, an alleged Ukrainian drone attack occurred in the Voronezh and Belgorod regions. The Governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, reported the elimination of a bonfire on the balcony in one of the apartment buildings in Voronezh. Additionally, several private houses experienced broken windows. In response, a state of emergency was declared in the city, and a headquarters was established for the temporary accommodation of citizens.

In the Belgorod region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov mentioned that the air defense system successfully shot down a UAV approaching the city. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties. However, two private houses in the Russian Federation sustained damage, including broken windows, a cut fence, and a damaged outbuilding.

The Shot telegram channel suggested that the target of the attack was likely Baltimore Airport, located near Teplychnaya Street, where UAV wreckage had earlier hit an apartment building.

In related news, the Ukrainian Armed Forces dealt a significant blow to the Russian Air Force. The Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, announced that the Ukrainian Air Force shot down a Russian A-50 plane and damaged another Il-22M11 plane. Initially, the Air Force claimed both planes were destroyed, but later clarification indicated that the Russian Il-22 plane, shot down over the Sea of Azov on January 14, might have reached the airport, though it is not subject to renovation. Yuri Ignat, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, assured that the target was destroyed as the plane burst into flames.

"It appears that the Il-22 has indeed reached Anapa. Living reptile. But as you can see, the riverbed 'is not subject to renovation.' Therefore, it doesn't matter; resuscitation will not help! The plane burst into flames, the crew was injured, I hope '200' too!"
Yuri Ignat remarked.

He emphasized that the priority target during the operation remains the A-50 reconnaissance aircraft, stating, "The A-50 long-range radar aircraft was and is a priority target for us. And to this day, destroying this plane seemed an overwhelming task for the Air Force. And then the Il-22 (air command post) was also targeted," added the Air Force spokesman.
