Poland also does not forget about the quadrupeds who came from Ukraine. Without a doubt, they also deserve proper care and support. Therefore, we publish a list of veterinarians who have declared to help free of charge or only for the price of medicines.

As we all know, February 24 this year, the Russian invasion began in Ukraine. War causes great suffering, not only for people, but also for animals, both our domestic companions, as well as breeding ones and those left in zoos. We have compiled a list of the most important organizations and collections that are currently helping animals from Ukraine.

Poland, Latvia, Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Finland, Ireland, Denmark and the Netherlands temporarily lifted the requirements for the transport of pets to these countries – companion animals (dogs, cats and other small animals) can be imported without a complete set of veterinary documents (such as a vaccination list or passport). Several groups and initiatives have been created on Facebook to help companion animals find a home – the desire to temporarily adopt an animal can be expressed in the following forms:

The telephone line is open from Monday to Saturday from 8:00 to 16:00. The program is implemented by the Foundation for the International Protection of Animals Viva! with the support of the Mazowieckie Voivodship Office.
