On Saturday evening, a demonstration in support of Ukraine organized in Warsaw reached the Sejm.

- Today you stand here shoulder to shoulder, Ukrainians and Poles, united by one goal, the goal of our victory
said the country's ambassador to Poland, Wasyl Zvarycz.

The rally was organized on the second anniversary of Russia's full-scale attack on independent Ukraine.

- Dear friends, dear Ukrainians, two years have passed since Russia showed its brutal fascist face, but the war has actually been going on for ten years and the Ukrainian people have been facing this Russian aggression for ten years - said Vasyl Zvarych, ambassador of this country in Poland. The diplomat addressed the participants of a rally in support of his country before the Sejm in Warsaw.

- Today you stand here shoulder to shoulder, Ukrainians and Poles, united by one goal, the goal of our victory. And it will not be only a victory for Ukraine, it will be a victory for Poland and the entire free world, because today supporting Ukraine in this fight means supporting democratic values, it means supporting the entire free world - added the Ukrainian ambassador to Poland, quoted by TVN Warszawa.

He noted that "today, many important words of solidarity were spoken towards Ukraine, and we really want these words to be followed by specific further actions".

The Speaker of the Senate also spoke before the Sejm.

- This is a war not only to defend the territory of your country, but it is a war about values. Putin attacked Ukraine because Ukraine chose freedom, human rights, Europe, it chose civil liberties, that's why Putin attacked your country - said Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska.

The KO politician addressed the gathered Ukrainians: - You defend Europe, you defend the world, because without democratic values, without citizens' freedom, there will be no good, safe world. We protect these values, you are dying for these values ​​right now, so this support for you, each of us, is necessary - she added.

On Saturday, demonstrations in support of Ukraine took place in Warsaw, but also in Wrocław, Gdańsk and Szczecin. In the evening, many buildings in these cities were illuminated in yellow and blue, the colors of the Ukrainian flag.

In the morning, an art installation appeared in front of the embassy. Several dozen crosses with the name and surname, age and the signature "killed by Russians".

In March, the EU is to transfer EUR 4.5 billion to Ukraine and almost 70,000 pieces of ammunition

In March, the European Union is to transfer four and a half billion euros to Ukraine as part of a financial instrument and almost 170,000 rounds of ammunition. On the second anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion, the Ukrainian authorities held a series of talks with EU decision-makers.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal met the President of the European Commission in Kyiv.

"We discussed the next steps under the financial instrument for Ukraine worth EUR 50 billion. We also talked about how to deal with Ukrainian exports and solve problems on the Polish-Ukrainian border", he wrote on social media.

In turn, Ursula von der Leyen emphasized on the X website that the first payment under the financial instrument to Ukraine will amount to EUR 4.5 billion and will take place in March.
