Volodymyr Zelensky stole the show in Davos. It's time for Andrzej Duda and Radoslaw Sikorski

Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Radoslaw Sikorski has stated that the government of Prime Minister Donald Tusk is considering the possibility of increasing the production of missiles and military equipment as part of a new aid package for Ukraine. Sikorski made this announcement on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, according to Reuters.

"We are looking at all issues related to Ukraine with fresh eyes. We are exploring options to increase the production of ammunition and equipment, as well as assessing the contents of our warehouses"
noted Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Radoslaw Sikorski.

The minister highlighted that Poland is actively persuading its allies that the cost of preventing Russian aggression in the event of Ukraine's conquest by Russia would be significantly higher than the expense of providing Kyiv with weapons for effective defense.

Sikorski emphasized the importance of ongoing collaboration between Ukraine and Poland to address issues, praising the agreement reached between the Polish government and carriers to lift the border blockade.

However, Sikorski also pointed out that Poland should not shoulder the primary burden of solidarity costs with Ukraine on behalf of the entire European Union.

He stated, "These costs are unavoidable, and we accept them, but they should be distributed more equitably", adding that efforts are underway to ensure a fair distribution of the solidarity-related expenses.

Zelensky met with Duda in Davos

On January 16, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Polish President Andrzej Duda on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

"I assured President Zelensky that our policy towards Ukraine will remain stable, continuing to be a policy of support. In a few days, he can calmly commence negotiations with Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Kyiv. I believe this will be a beneficial policy that we can implement together", the President of the Republic of Poland was quoted in a report from his office.
