Over the last day, the Russian army shelled two municipalities in the Nikopol Oblast

On October 5th, Russian forces launched a heavy artillery attack on Nikopol and also utilized drones to strike a village in the Marganiec commune. After midnight, artillery shells were directed towards the local community.

This information comes from a report by the press service of the National Police of the Dnipro region.

As a result of yesterday morning's shelling in Nikopol, a woman sustained injuries. Law enforcement officers have also observed significant damage, including the destruction of several private houses and six commercial buildings. Among these, three were completely obliterated. Furthermore, a gas pipeline and a power line were severed. The impact of the attacks led to severe damage to the ceilings, roofs, walls, facades, fences, and the belongings of the affected residents.

The police are currently evaluating the extent of the damage caused by the overnight assault on the Marganets community. During this period, documentation shows that four private houses were destroyed, and one car was completely wrecked. Site investigations are ongoing.
