The 578th day of the Russian Federation's armed aggression against Ukraine has commenced. Ukrainian Defense Forces persist in defensive operations in eastern and southern Ukraine, while simultaneously conducting offensives in the Melitopol and Bakhmut regions. For detailed information on these events, you can refer to dniprotoday.com.

During the past day, the aggressors unleashed over 20 combat clashes, launching 5 missile strikes and 57 air attacks. Furthermore, they carried out 38 missile salvo attacks targeting both our military positions and civilian infrastructure within our country. These developments were reported by the General Staff in their update on September 24.

Ukrainian Defense Forces Hold Strong Amidst Ongoing Attacks

Airstrikes struck Synkivka, Ivanivka, and Kislivka in the Kharkiv region, as well as Nevske, Belogorivka in the Luhansk region, and several other locations in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions. Additionally, artillery shelling affected more than 70 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions.

In the areas under the responsibility of OSUV "North" in Volhynia and Poliskie directions, there have been no significant changes in the operational situation. The enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, specifically in the Sivierski and Slobozhansky directions. They are actively engaging in sabotage activities aimed at hindering the movement of our troops and increasing the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border in the Belgorod Oblast.

In the region covered by the "Khortytsia" air defense system, particularly in the Lymansky direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces have successfully repelled enemy attacks in the Belogorivka area of Donetsk Oblast.

Ukrainian Armed Forces are continuing their offensive operations in the Bakhmut area. Despite the enemy's attempts to regain lost positions in the Klishchyevka area of Donetsk Oblast, they have been unsuccessful. Our defense forces are persisting with their assault south of Bakhmut in Donetsk Oblast, inflicting casualties on the enemy's personnel and equipment while securing territorial gains.

In the Tavriya anti-aircraft missile defense system area towards Avdiyka, the Defense Forces are effectively maintaining their defense on the occupied borders, successfully repelling enemy attacks in the Avdiivka area of Donetsk region.

In the Mariinsky direction, the enemy's offensive actions in the Maryinka and Pobeda areas of Donetsk region have been futile, with over 10 unsuccessful attempts in the last day to displace our units from their positions.

In the Shakhtarsky direction, our defenders are continuing to protect the occupied borders and defend our land against invaders.
