The morning of June 18 became worrisome for the Russian invaders in the temporarily occupied Skadovsk, Lazurny, Soniachyny, Ryki and Henichesk in the Kherson region. There were loud explosions. In advance, the occupiers may suffer heavy losses. This is reported by local telegram channels. In particular, on the morning of June 18, loud explosions were heard in the village of Partizan in the Heniche district. Smoke is rising there now. Earlier, there was an attack on the positions of the occupiers.

As Petro Andryushchenko, adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, said, the guerrillas hit the elevator area. According to residents, there was a large warehouse of occupiers' ammunition there. As a result, the detonation began.

Explosions also spread in the temporarily occupied Skadovsk. Official information on the matter is currently awaited. Meanwhile, Russian propagandists have already declared that air defense is allegedly operating in Skadovsk. Eyewitnesses reported that there were at least six explosions over the city. Information about the effects and victims is being clarified, the invaders wrote on the network.

There are also reports of explosions in Lazurny and Rykovy in the Kherson region. In this settlement, there are also hits in the ammunition depot of the occupiers. The detonation is still going on.

At the same time, more such news is expected soon, said the spokesman of the United Press Center of the Defense Forces of the Tavria Region, Valery Shershen, on the air of the national marathon "Edyny Novyny".

According to him, they captured, in particular, four BMP-2s, an armored personnel carrier and a repair and evacuation vehicle. Shershen noted that “there will be more and more news like this in the near future.” In addition, the Ukrainian defenders successfully worked on the technique of the Russian occupiers.

“If you hear in the news tomorrow about a destroyed Nona 2C23 artillery installation or a Typhoon AFV, you can guess who is actively operating,” the spokesman said.

Shershen also added that the movement of columns of airborne assault units of the Russian occupiers was recorded from the left bank of the Kherson region.

What is the situation at the front?

On June 17, Ukrainian forces continued counter-offensive operations in at least four areas of the front. The Russian Ministry of Defense and other Russian sources claimed that Ukrainian forces conducted localized ground attacks west and south of Kreminna, attacked the northern and southern outskirts of Bakhmut, and Russian forces repulsed limited Ukrainian ground attacks on the Avdievka-Donetsk line. According to ISW analysts, Ukrainian forces continued their counter-offensive south, southwest and southeast of Veľká Novosilka near the administrative border between the western part of Donetsk Oblast and eastern Zaporizhia Oblast. They also conducted counter-offensive operations southwest and southeast of Orichovo in the west of the Zaporizhia Oblast. They advanced up to two kilometers in various unspecified directions in southern Ukraine.
