Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant

According to the investigation, the man went to cooperate with the Russian Federation and agreed to take the position of the head of the "Separate Subdivision of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant", based on the material resources and capabilities of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant.

This was reported today, August 17, by the press office of the Zaporizhzhia District Prosecutor's Office.

"Together with representatives of the occupation administration, he organized meetings of the personnel of the Zaporozhye NPP, where he called for support for the actions and decisions of the Russian Federation, including on the new "conditions" and "mode of operation" of the captured stations, "the department's post reads.

The case file also noted that the man managing the enterprise ensured the registration of new licenses for the use of nuclear energy from the units of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant in the power system of the Russian Federation.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of the SBU Department in the Zaporizhia region.

Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant

Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. Since March 4, the Russian military have occupied it. The Russian Federation places military equipment and ammunition on the territory of the station.

The Russians also shell the station itself, destroying power lines, causing power blocks to shut down, for which they blame the Armed Forces. On October 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the transfer of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant to federal ownership.

The Russians also established a company to manage the ZNPP. Energoatom called this decision "worthless" and reminded that for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the decision of the Russian Federation to "incorporate" the Ukrainian territories and ZNPP has no meaning.
