In order to cross the border, two men "bought" their son and daughter

Yesterday evening, border guards detained a 37-year-old resident of Kharkiv region at the Porubne checkpoint. During passport control, the man stated that he was a father of many children, providing three birth certificates. As a result of an in-depth study of the documents, the border guards discovered signs of forgery in one of the birth certificates issued in the girl's name. The man admitted that he illegally purchased the document over the Internet. However, in order to cross the border, he offered the border guards 500 US dollars. The border guard refused such an offer.

Another "dad with many children", a resident of Ternopil region, was discovered by border guards at the Krasnoilsk checkpoint. A 42-year-old man admitted that in order to go abroad, he "bought" a 3-year-old son by forging a birth certificate.

In both cases, officers of the National Police were called to the scene. In the actions of offenders, there are signs of a criminal offense provided for in Art. 358 of the Criminal Code "Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps". In addition, one of the detainees will have to answer under Art. 369 of the Criminal Code "Offer, promise or provision of an unlawful benefit to an official."
