Humenyuk: Russia withdrew its ships from bases in Crimea

Russia's aggression. Russia withdraws ships from Crimea

Russia, fearing attacks by the Armed Forces, moved all its landing ships from bases in Crimea. They were transferred to Russian ones. In particular, the number of enemy aircraft carriers in the Black Sea decreased.

The operational situation on land in southern Ukraine and in the Black Sea remains quite tense. This was announced by Natalia Humenyuk, head of the joint press center of the Operational Command "South", on the "Jedini Novyni" telethon.

“The enemy, not successful on the battlefield, traditionally increases the terror of the civilian population, and today the Kherson region is suffering more than ever. Very heavy shelling can be heard both in the regional center itself and in the nearest towns to the right coast. Unfortunately, 15 people have been injured since the beginning of the day – 5 killed and 10 wounded. And the shelling continues, including with the use of prohibited weapons, incendiary shells were fired towards Kizomysu, where, in the weather conditions currently prevailing in the Kherson Oblast, the incendiary shells caused a massive fire," Humenyuk said.

The Russian Federation withdrew all its ships from bases in Crimea

According to Natalia Humenyuk, the Russian army, fearing attacks by the Defense Forces, withdrew all large landing ships from their base ports in Crimea.

“In the Black Sea, the naval group continues to maneuver in the same area that it now considers relatively safe for itself, reaching the eastern coast of Crimea as far as Novorossiysk.”

There are also no aircraft carriers on combat duty.

"10 ships, boats are on duty in the Black Sea, one covers the situation on the surface of Azov, but from time to time the enemy "takes for a walk", so to speak, the same "cyclone" that they introduced into the fleet without carrying out normal operational tests and fire," says Humenyuk.

Let us recall that on the night of September 21, 19 drones attacked various parts of occupied Crimea. The Security Service of Ukraine and the Navy carried out a large-scale fire attack on the Saki military airfield in occupied Crimea. There were at least 12 combat aircraft (Su-24 and Su-30) and Pantsir ZRGK at the airport. Reports indicate that the strikes caused major damage to the occupiers' equipment. To this end, the SBU and the Navy used drones that overloaded Russian air defenses, after which Neptune missiles were launched.
