The Russian Defense Ministry reported a Ukrainian air attack that sparked a fire at the Sevastopol shipyard in Russian-occupied Crimea on Wednesday morning.
The occupier's air defense system was supposed to destroy seven of the 10 cruise missiles sent by the Ukrainians, and the water patrol ship also eliminated three unmanned boats – reports Reuters.
“As a result of being hit by enemy cruise missiles, two ships under renovation were damaged” the Russian ministry reported on social media.
Mikhail Razvozaev, the so-called governor and head of the Russian administration in Sevastopol, informed about the fire that broke out in the shipyard. Emergency services are working on site. According to Razvozaev, 24 people were injured in the attack.
In the morning, loud explosions were heard in the city. According to Unian.ua, Sevastopol residents report broken windows in apartments near the centers of the explosion. The tremors were to be felt even several kilometers from the point of impact.
