Help for refugees from Mariupol

Anastasia was evacuated to the Dnipro on March 27 last year. The girl lives in a new house with her daughter. Her husband serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Shee believes that such projects are needed because it is difficult for displaced people to settle in a new city.

"It's hard because I was the only one in my family from an early age and that's why this support is important because there are no men around. They won't help you, and you're looking for a kind of confused kitten to poke, pull", she says.

Olena is also an immigrant from Mariupol. She applied for a new apartment. The woman says: they left with their family for Germany, but decided to return to Ukraine. I found information about the project from social networks.

“My son has applied. We have a grandson, a problem with childbirth and the fact that I am disabled. And they put us in a queue and immediately wrote that you can move in and come,” says the woman.

A total of 35 families live in the shelter in Dnipro, says the mayor of Mariupol, Vadym Boychenko. Here, the facade insulation was completed, a playground was built, and a shelter was prepared. He says the pilot project was carried out jointly with the French government.

“The main goal was to provide the residents with apartments, and then to create such conditions, prepare for winter, provide common spaces and other things. It means that the project is already finished. These are temporary apartments for the duration of the war and three years after it. war, and then our main goal is to return Mariupol's population to Mariupol", the official said.
