Serhiy Narizhnyj, a military man from the Luben region, was killed during a large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. He served in the ground defense brigade. A posthumous degree is required for a soldier. The daughter of the late Ruslan Golovchenko filed a petition on this issue. She told the public about her father.
48-year-old Serhii Narizhnyi lived in the village of Wielka Krucha of the Pyryatyn commune. He was from the city of Selidove in the Donetsk region.
He joined Ukrainian Army in 2014, and after the full-scale war began on February 25, 2022, he enlisted. Not only that, but he wanted to be a volunteer too.
During the full-scale war, Serhiy Narizhnyy was defending Ukraine, mainly in Sumy and Donetsk Oblasts. Warrior's Daughter said:
"When he was in the Poltava area, he often came home. Then, when he was leaving, we spoke once and that was it, he never called us again. He died near the village of Krasna Gora in the Donetsk region. There was mortar fire, there were three of them. They got hit. Before that, they shot and then flew away in response."
It happened on January 21, 2023. The fighter was buried in the village of Velika Krucha. In particular, he left behind a father, wife, daughter, and grandson.
Currently, Serhiy Narizhnyi is applying for the title of Hero of Ukraine posthumously. For this purpose, a petition was created on the president's website, which was signed by over 16,000 people. If she collects 25,000, she should be taken into account.
“So that not only his relatives remember him. He died not only for us, but for everyone. I want everyone to honor his memory,” says Ruslana Golovchenko.
To join the vote, log on to the president's website and then sign the petition using online banking or Diya.
