Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of National Defense, said that thanks to the successes of the Defense Forces on the front, the exchange fund is replenished daily by dozens of Russian invaders.
He announced this on the telethon of "Edyne Novyni".
“Every day we record the arrival of several dozen Russians in Ukrainian captivity. Among them there are those who were taken prisoner as a result of hostilities, but there are also those who surrendered voluntarily," Yusov noted.
The HUR representative emphasized that replenishing the exchange fund affects the process of releasing Ukrainian prisoners of war.
He also spoke about the increase in the number of applications under Ukraine's state program for surrender "I want to live."
According to Jusov, "if previously we received 70-100 appeals a day, now the rate is one and a half to two times higher — 170 and more."
“Currently, 1,000 applications are being implemented, and over 200 are successful cases of sending Russian soldiers to the front. This is only as part of the "I want to live" program - added the HUR representative.
This was reported to the Coordinating Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
"The Ukrainian side carried out a number of actions, as a result of which it was possible to repatriate the bodies of 51 fallen defenders to the territory controlled by the Ukrainian government," we read in the statement.
In total, the bodies of 1,832 Ukrainian soldiers were found within two years.
