Four ZNPP workers were injured: the situation as of August 29

As of 10:00 a.m. on August 29, Zaporizhzhya NPP operates with the risk of violating radiation and fire safety regulations. During the last day, the Russian military continued to fire at Energodar and the site of the ZNPP. As a result of this, 10 peaceful residents of Energodar received injuries of varying degrees of severity, four of them were employees of the nuclear plant. This was reported by the Energoatom Telegram channel.

Two power units of the ZNPP, which were connected to the grid last week after being shut down, are steadily producing electricity for Ukraine's needs. There are currently no comments on the operation of equipment and security systems.

At the same time, due to the presence of the Russian military, their weapons, equipment and explosives at the station, there are serious risks for the safe operation of the ZNPP. As a result of periodic shelling, the infrastructure of the station was damaged, there are risks of hydrogen leakage and sputtering of radioactive substances, and there is a high fire hazard.

The Ukrainian staff of the station continues to work heroically, making every effort to ensure nuclear and radiation safety, as well as to eliminate the consequences of damage.

"The occupiers, preparing for the arrival of the IAEA mission, increased the pressure on the personnel of the ZNPP to prevent them from disclosing evidence of the occupiers' crimes at the plant and its use as a military base," - the message reads.

Ukraine calls on the world community to take immediate measures to force Russia to release the Zaenhe power plant and transfer the power plant to the control of our state for the sake of the security of the whole world.

We remind you that due to Russian shelling from the captured nuclear power plant, residents of the city of Nikopol are forced to live in basements - women from Nikopol began to give birth to children in basements.
