Mobilization bill

In late January, the Cabinet of Ministers submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law on mobilization, which proposed changes to the procedure for its implementation.

The draft law contains regulations on changing the rules for conscripts' travel abroad, providing Ukrainians with "armor" against conscription, allowing summons to be sent through an electronic cabinet, lowering the draft age to 25, restrictions for "draft dodgers" and more.

A few weeks ago, the parliament adopted the draft law in the first reading.

Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk said that between the first and second readings of the draft law on mobilization, people's deputies have 14 days to submit amendments to it.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the mobilization law is being changed in Ukraine, since the document was adopted before the war and does not correspond to reality.
