The occupiers attacked Zmiiny (Snake) Island by aircraft

On the night of July 30, the Russian military attacked the liberated Zmiiny (Snake) Island with tactical aircraft for the third time this month, the operational command "South" reported. It is noted that the Russians dropped two aerial bombs of an unknown type in the area of ​​the island.

On July 13, the occupiers also attacked Zmiiny (Snake), dropping a high-explosive aerial bomb. Five days before the Russian airstrike, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited Zmiiny. The head of state honored the memory of the defenders of the island there.

Small - with an area of ​​about 20 hectares - Zmiiny (Snake) Island in the Black Sea territorially belongs to Odesa Region. Since the end of February 2022, it has been occupied by the Russian army. In July 2022, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed his final dismissal.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation declared that the Russian army had fulfilled all military tasks on the island, and called the departure of the occupiers from Zmiyny (Snake) "a step of goodwill", and then on July 1, phosphorus bombs were dropped on the island.

In addition, this night from the eastern coast of the Sea of ​​Azov, the occupiers directed Shahed-136 attack drones at agricultural enterprises of the Kherson region and the Kryvorizka region of the Dnipropetrovsk region, which were reportedly shot down by air defense forces.

Over the past 24 hours, the enemy has launched 8 missile strikes, 33 air strikes, and fired 53 salvo rockets at the positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, there are victims among the civilian population, residential buildings were destroyed.

• On the Kupyansk direction, Topoli, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kislivka, Berestov, Kindrashivka and Kupyansk of the Kharkiv region were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar fire.
• In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the Novoyehorivka and Bilogorivka districts of the Luhansk region. The settlements of Nevske, Bilogorivka in the Luhansk region and Verkhnyokamianske, Torske, Spirne, Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region were hit by artillery fire.
• In the Bakhmut direction, more than 15 settlements were hit by enemy artillery shelling, including Orihovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanovske, Bila Gora and Druzhba.
• In the Avdiyiv direction, the enemy launched an air strike in the Nevelsky area. More than 10 settlements, including Avdiivka, Severne, Pervomaiske, Karlivka, and Novokalynove of the Donetsk region, were hit by artillery fire.
• In the Marinka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the area of ​​the city of Marinka. The enemy carried out an air strike in the Krasnohorivka region and shelled more than 15 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, and Georgiivka in the Donetsk region.
• In the Shakhtarsky direction, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the Makarivka and Staromayorsky districts and shelled the settlements of Elizavetivka, Odradne, Blagodatne, Makarivka, Rivnopil, Staromayorske and Vilne Pole of the Donetsk region.
