The unfortunate incident, marked by eight shelling episodes, has left a trail of destruction and inflicted casualties, painting a grim picture of the toll that conflict can take on civilian life.

The unsettling report, brought to light by Mykola Lukashuk, the head of DOR, sheds light on the harrowing experiences faced by the residents of Nikopol. The gravity of the situation is further emphasized by the targeted assault on a truck driver, a 39-year-old man who found himself caught in the crossfire while en route to Myrivska hromada. Miraculously, the victim emerged with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover while receiving treatment at home.

Day of devastation: four artillery strikes and four kamikaze drone attacks on Nikopol

During the day, the enemy shelled Nikopol and the surrounding area four times with artillery and attacked with four kamikaze drones. In Nikopol, a state institution, a private company, 12 private houses, 10 farm buildings, 3 power lines and 2 passenger cars were damaged.

The neighboring municipalities of Myrivska and Chervonogrigorivska were not spared either, as they witnessed the aftermath of this unprovoked aggression. In Myrivska and Chervonogrigorivska, 2 residential buildings, 3 farm structures, a truck, and a power line bore the scars of the attacks, further amplifying the human cost and material devastation inflicted upon innocent civilians.
