“The world will be brought to the brink of destruction if nuclear weapons are in the hands of bandits,” warns Russia's chief propagandist Dmitry Medvedev. This is the reaction of the former president and prime minister of Russia to the troops of the Wagner Group approaching Moscow. Ukrainian and Tatar partisans report that the militants are preparing to take over a nuclear weapons warehouse.
Dmitry Medvedev, who spreads disinformation and Russian propaganda on a daily basis, took a serious tone. This is a reaction to the actions of the Wagner Group.
The head of the militants, Yevgeny Prigozhin, announced on Friday a “march for justice” and punishment of those responsible for the alleged shelling of the Wagnerian positions by the Russian army.
The militants have entered Rostov-on-Don and are advancing deep into Russia. In a speech to the nation, Vladimir Putin called the members of the Wagner Group traitors, and announced that the rebels would be held accountable.
“The development of events shows that the actions of those who organized the military revolt fully fit into the scheme of a staged coup d'état” Medvedev said.
The propagandist added that “the world will be brought to the brink of annihilation” if nuclear weapons are in the hands of bandits. “The crisis will not be confined to one country,” he added.
Medvedev's concerns seem to be confirmed by the reports of the partisans from the Atesz formation – a formation created by Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars in September 2022. One of the partisans is to be an “agent” in the Wagner Group troops. The militants are allegedly preparing to seize nuclear weapons warehouses on the outskirts of Borisoglebsk in the Voronezh region. However, it is not known what type of warheads are in stock.
“There is a likelihood that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will not be able to secure the warehouse on their own. After all, there is very little manpower and resources. A significant number of tanks, artillery and motorized professional infantry are needed,” the partisans add.
