The commander of the Ukrainian land forces, General Oleksandr Syrski, stated during a visit to the front that the situation in the eastern direction is getting complicated, but Ukrainian forces are moving forward in certain sections of the front.

The general reminded that the Russians reinforced their troops with units consisting of prisoners. He mentioned several towns in the area where the borders of the Ukrainian oblasts meet: Luhansk, Donetsk and Kharkiv (including Novoselivske, Kuzemivka, Spirne) and informed that the Russians had moved there to conduct offensive operations.

“Fighting in these areas continues almost around the clock,” Syrski said.

However, as he described, Ukrainian forces in the direction of the city of Svatowo (Lugansk Oblast) not only repulsed the Russian attack, but also managed to advance 400 meters.

The situation in the eastern direction is getting complicated

The commander spoke during another visit to the front. On the official media platform of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine – Military Media Center, it is reported that Syrski visited “units that maintain defense in the area of ​​greatest tension” at the front.

Defense Forces counterattacked and were able to advance

The owner of “Wagner” PMC Yevhen Prigozhin denied the statement about the briefing, but admitted that the Ukrainian military holds the southwestern outskirts of the city: “There is information that observation points of the Armed Forces have already been set up there. Lymano-Kupian direction, according to Cherevaty, remains the leader in terms of artillery strikes. During the day, there were 61 shellings, 6 clashes, and 11 airstrikes. 54 occupiers were killed, 89 were wounded, and one was taken prisoner.

Also, the Ukrainian military shot down 3 tanks, 2 BMPs, Akatsiya self-propelled guns, Grad anti-aircraft guns, 2 mortars, 2 drones, and the Murom-M visual surveillance station.
