Ukrainian pilots conducted extensive training on Mi-24 combat helicopters and Mi-8 military transport helicopters with live fire.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted training of combat helicopter crews under the command of the commander of the United Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev.

“In order to maintain the combat training of the most mobile and effective component of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the northern operational zone under the command of the Commander of the Joint Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev, a series of training courses for the crews of Mi-24 combat helicopters and Mi-8 military transport helicopters with live fire” – we read in the message.

Powerful exercises of the Ukrainian army

According to the commander, pilots practice tasks that they need in a real combat situation, prepare for appropriate flight exercises and at the same time gain experience.

“The lion's share of the helicopters currently undergoing training have recently returned from combat missions in the east of our country. Today, they pass on their many years of invaluable combat experience gained there to young pilots,” said Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev.

He said that for several days the combat control group, pilots, and engineering and technical staff trained together, because “the only work of one team is the key to the successful completion of combat missions.”

“Specialists of the aviation engineering service conduct many different types of training in accordance with the regulations on the technical operation of aviation equipment. Considering the number of flights and the complexity of the tasks, a large burden and responsibility rests with the technicians,” said Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev.

He added that the personnel of the helicopter unit is very motivated, ready for tasks and continues training to strike the enemy from the air.

“I spoke with the commander, with the flight crew, with engineering and technical specialists. They are all masters of military affairs. I saw with my own eyes how they constantly improve their skills and I am sure that if necessary, these pilots will do their job perfectly,” - Naev emphasized.

Recall that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the readiness of the Armed Forces to launch a counter-offensive. The head of state pointed out that, unfortunately, the Ukrainian army did not receive all the weapons and equipment it would like to have for the counter-offensive, but there is no time to wait, because it is too expensive for Ukrainian families.
