At the age of 66, he ran 10 km and took second place. A resident of Dnipro took part in a marathon in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The race took place in Kyiv at the end of October, with over 500 competitors competing.

Oleksandr Kozlenko, a 66-year-old resident of Zelenodolsk, Dnipro Oblast, ran 10 kilometers during the "Don't Stop" charity marathon. He took second place in his age category.
The man told the public: the race took place in Kyiv at the end of October, over 500 competitors competed in it.

The result is 52 minutes and 20 seconds, but the result is worse than I planned. I planned 48-49 minutes and was ready for it, but it didn't work out. It was very cold on the hills of Kyiv

says a race participant.

According to him, two and a half million hryvnias were collected for the Armed Forces during the marathon.

Oleksandr says that he has loved sports since childhood and has been running for over forty years.

“Almost every day I do push-ups, warm-up, and after a good warm-up I run 10–15 kilometers”, he said.

Despite the shelling of Zelenodolsk by Russian troops, the man continued his training.

They were shooting from Wysokopilla, there were 'arrivals'. It used to be that during training, people would run and check where it would be best to fall if there was gunfire. I kept fit – it kept me in good shape. Maybe those who saw me also could stay in good shape so that we won't lose our spirits

says Oleksandr.

Now he is preparing for another charity marathon. He says as long as his legs work, he will train and take part in races.
